I admit I was really sad when I got the notice of his death. He was still so young, he could write many other beautiful music.
I started to like his music during the first peformance of a suite on "The perfect storm" with the wind orchestra where I play. Really great music.
Ok, I don't consider him a genius like composers such Beethoven, Bach, etc....but I enjoy very, very much when I listen to his beautiful themes. It is really a pleasure for my soul.
I love also how he assign instrument in his scores, in some moments sound effects are really beauty.
He worked really a lot, composed a great quantity of music. Pity he can no write anymore, unless in thsi world.
